I was your client before I ever worked with businesses like yours.
My hairdresser. My waxer. My Pilates studio. The businesses I recommended to friends and followed on Instagram, run by people who were brilliant at what they did and nowhere to be found online. That’s the part I kept coming back to. It became Salt & Sage.

- 01Jeffersonville, Vermont. One stoplight. Businesses had first names, and everyone knew who did what and why you’d go to her. That’s still what I’m trying to get a website to say.
- 02Psychology and marketing, then five years in digital and web, including a Colorado SEO agency, learning why people click things and why they quietly leave.
- 03Esthetician school, briefly. Loving beauty and being good at performing it turned out to be two different things. The Pilates teacher training I’m in now is going considerably better.
- 04The client side. I noticed when the person I trusted in real life looked interchangeable online, and how far a new client would have to dig to find the reason I’d already found.
- 05August 2026: Salt & Sage. One person doing the strategy, the copy, the design, the search work, and the tiny button adjustment I’ll be thinking about at midnight. Not a stage I’m trying to grow out of.
She’s deciding if she trusts you
before she ever meets you.
SEO matters. Design matters. Copy matters. None of them are the point.
The point is that the right person finds you, understands you, trusts you, and knows what to do next. You already know how to take care of her once she walks through your door. The website has to get her comfortable enough to walk through it.
Which is why the studio works like this
no handoffs, no account manager
Starting a business made me understand yours differently
I’ve been wildly excited about an idea and overwhelmed by it three hours later. I’ve overthought pricing, rewritten one sentence twelve times, and finished a to-do list with more on it than when I began.
So when you tell me your website has been sitting on your list for eight months, I get it. You have clients to take care of, appointments to fill, and approximately seventeen other things you promised yourself you’d do this week. Your website shouldn’t become another full-time job. You need someone to tell you what matters, what doesn’t, and then either hand you the plan or do it for you.
- The name
- My boyfriend’s last name is Morton, like the salt. Green is my favorite color. No elaborate brand story; it just felt like mine.
- The team
- Me, and Marley: ten pounds, Chihuahua, self-appointed creative director. She attends every call and has yet to approve a font.
- Where to find us
- Pilates, a trail, a bakery, or an iced matcha, usually thirty questions deep into how someone started her business.

Population: one, plus a Chihuahua.
You built the business. I’ll help with the website.
Come with a full brief or a single sentence. I read every note myself and reply within two business days.
